First-Ever Pour of C-Crete’s Cement-Free Concrete in CA

November 2024, a call came in inquiring about Cement-free Concrete (C-Crete), its features, and specifications. Shortly after, a local ready-mix provider picked up several tons of C-Crete in supersacks along with the mix design. In less than 10 business hours from that first contact, C-Crete was poured as a residential slab in the Bay Area, California – followed by a second pour for a commercial driveway in Oakland.

This marked the fastest project turnaround to date using C-Crete and also the first-ever pour of cement-free concrete in California, the home state of C-Crete. The team was especially impressed by the speed and professionalism of the ready-mix partner involved.

The C-Crete mix used in this project achieved a 28-day compressive strength of >5500 psi, which was exceeding the performance benchmarks of conventional Portland cement concrete.
