Turner Construction Receives 2025 NRMCA Concrete Innovation Award by Using C-Crete

March 2025, Turner Construction Company, in collaboration with C-Crete Technologies, has been honored with the 2025 National Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA) Concrete Innovation Award for the pioneering use of 100% Portland Cement-Free Concrete (C-Crete) at the San Francisco International Airport Terminal 3 West Expansion Project (T3W).

This achievement marks the world’s first major airport project to utilize C-Crete in a structural application, with the new Interim Corridors projected to achieve significant  reduction in carbon emissions. The recognition highlights how innovative, cement-free concrete can transform the construction industry after more than 200 years of Portland cement dominance.

The C-Crete team is proud to have contributed to this transformative project, working alongside the SFO T3W team, Magnusson Klemencic Associates, Gensler & TEF Design, and Bauman Redi-Mix Concrete to make this milestone possible.
