C-Crete at the NREL Annual Cement and Concrete Decarbonization Meeting
Golden, CO
July 2024, Dr. Rouzbeh Savary, president and founder of C-Crete, presented technical insights on Cement-free Concrete (C-Crete) at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory’s annual Cement and Concrete Decarbonization meeting in Golden, CO.
He discussed some of our past, current, and future residential, commercial, and government projects using C-Crete, along with its aesthetic features, such as various surface finishes and a suite of earthy-tone colors enabled by natural rocks.
A highly polished Terrazzo floor sample made with C-Crete was shown to the audience, demonstrating its smoothness, durability, and aesthetic appeal, which is ideal for high-traffic areas like airport floors, shopping malls, banks, and industrial spaces.
With significantly lower CO₂ emissions compared to Portland cement and comparable costs, C-Crete is paving the way for sustainable commercial flooring.
