C-Crete Covered by PR News Following Launch of Cement-Free Concrete Exceeding ASTM Performance Benchmarks

July 2023, C-Crete Technologies reached a key milestone with the successful first commercial use of its cement-free concrete in a Seattle building project. The material was used in foundations and shear walls of a historic retrofit, demonstrating that a Portland cement-free solution can meet structural performance requirements while significantly reducing carbon emissions.

C-Crete’s proprietary binder eliminates nearly one ton of CO₂ per ton of material compared to conventional cement, addressing one of the largest sources of global emissions. The concrete also delivered strong field performance, including excellent workability and high compressive strength.

This inaugural pour marks an important step toward scalable, low-carbon construction and reinforces C-Crete’s role in advancing sustainable infrastructure.
