C‑Crete Awarded $1.55M by DOE to Prototype Carbon-Based Building Materials
October 2021, C‑Crete Technologies was awarded $1.55 million by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to design, fabricate, and validate a prototype low carbon building using its innovative materials. The project transitioned carbon ore into eco‑friendly construction components, aiming to demonstrate scalable modular structures built with significantly reduced embodied carbon.
C‑Crete’s pioneering initiative explored the use of alternative materials to develop structural materials such as beams, tiles, bricks, and veneers.
