Cement-Free concrete for a Costco warehouse Facility

September 2025, C-Crete successfully completed a pilot project using its cement-free, ultra-low-carbon concrete at a Costco warehouse facility in the Sacramento area in California. The project marks another milestone in the adoption of next-generation construction materials that significantly reduce embodied carbon while meeting high-performance demands in real-world applications.
The concrete was mixed, delivered, and placed using standard ready-mix operationsโno special equipment, workflow changes, or contractor retraining were required. The slab was placed, finished, and cured by local crews using conventional tools and procedures. The result: a hard-trowel burnished finish offering durability, abrasion resistance, and easy maintenance.
This project, conducted in collaboration with Costco Wholesale, MG2 Design, W. L. Butler., XL Concrete Masonry and Elite Ready Mix, marks an important step in scaling ultra-low-carbon concrete for warehouse and industrial applications.
