World-First Cement-Free Residential Complex
World’s First cement-free residential complex
January 2026, Petaluma, CA
January 2026, C-Crete poured the foundations for the first buildings at Meridian at Petaluma North Station (CA) – a 131-unit residential complex spread across seven three- to four-story buildings, featuring a mix of studios and one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments. The project prioritizes state-of-the-art green building practices to support an eco-friendly, healthy living environment. C-Crete’s cement-free concrete, with an ultra-low carbon footprint, reached 4,000 psi strength within just a few days, accelerating the construction schedule while offering comparable cost and improved performance.

After nearly 200 years of carbon-intensive Portland cement dominating the construction industry, this milestone demonstrates what’s possible with next-generation, sustainable cement-free materials. Many thanks to the project collaborators, including The Danco Group, City of Petaluma, Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit, Redwood Energy, DC Engineering, Bauman Redi-Mix Concrete, and Elite Concrete, for making this possible.
The C-Crete Technologies team is proud to help lead the way in sustainable, cement-free concrete solutions.
